Work in progress. Project phases: (1) modelling (clay) in Blender - done; (2) UV unwrap and texturing (in Substance Painter) - WIP; (3) beauty renders / composition; (4) animation; (5) ground, smoke and fire simulations.
Phase 2 is now done, using Substance Painter and bringing it back into Blender. Next step ahead are some scene settings and animations. Beauty shot animation probably requires beta of Blender 2.8 for Eevee to prevent prohibitive render times.

As my son is doing a small scale model in reality from a Ravell set I promised him I would model the same tank for 3D animation. The whole tank is built on a physics simulation that (fingers crossed) accurately animates track and wheel behaviour with suspension. Wish me luck! I will keep updating this project as I move it along.
